Caitlin Kontgis, Applied Science Lead
Caitlin is on the Applied Science team at Descartes Labs. Prior to joining the company in 2015, she completed a PhD at the University of Wisconsin. Her research used Landsat data and machine learning to map land cover changes in southern Vietnam. At Descartes Labs, Caitlin has worked directly with customers to solve cutting edge problems, led teams of scientists, and coordinated across the company to determine incoming project feasibility to ensure broad customer success.
